WECARE is a home, garden and pet care service for people who are away from home: holidays, work trips, hospital stays. It is a trading name of WE-DEV LTD, so we are both the developer and the client. That gave us the freedom to build exactly the booking experience we wanted customers to have, and to run it every day.
The challenge
Handing your keys, your plants and your pets to someone you have never met is a big ask. The site had to earn that trust quickly, show prices up front instead of “call for a quote”, and let customers build a care plan visit by visit without a phone call.
What we built
- An online booking flow with instant, transparent pricing across five service groups: home and security, plants and garden, post and bins, pets, and extras such as key holding.
- Flexible scheduling, so customers can pick different visit times on different days.
- Visit reports by email after every call, with timestamps and photos of the home, garden and pets.
- Service-area pages for St Albans, Hitchin, Radlett and Elstree, Chorleywood and Moor Park, Hadley Wood, Loughton and Epping Forest, and Brighton and Hove.
- Clear trust signals (DBS-checked carers, public liability insurance) and a plain-English cancellation policy.
- A careers page to recruit carers in each area.
