Signs it is time

Your website should be your best salesperson. Is it?

If any of these sound familiar, the site is costing you enquiries. All four can be fixed without starting your business online from scratch.

  1. It is slow

People on phones do not wait. They go back and choose the next result.

  2. It is fiddly on a phone

Tiny buttons, pinch to zoom, forms that fight back.

  3. It looks its age

Old photos, old prices, a copyright year nobody changed.

  4. You cannot update it

Every small change means waiting for someone else.

Two ways to fix it

Refresh what works. Rebuild what doesn't.

Both at a fixed price, agreed in writing before we start. Prices include VAT; the figure without VAT is shown beside it.

Refresh

Same site, new life

  • A new homepage, header and footer: what every visitor sees first
  • More pages restyled to match, priced in the review
  • Your address, email and hosting stay as they are

Elite package

Rebuild

A new website, built properly

from £1,198.80inc VAT (£999 + VAT) · about 3–6 weeks

  • A new, fully responsive website of up to 15 pages
  • Your content moved over and every old address redirected
  • Fixed price with a written spec

Your price depends on the size of your site: you get it in writing after the review, before any work starts. Not sure which route fits? Read our guide to rebuilding or refreshing a website.

Protect your Google rankings

Redesign without losing what already works.

  1. Measure

We record your pages, visits and rankings before we touch anything.

  2. Map

Every old address gets a new home. No page is left behind.

  3. Build

The new site is built on a private copy, never on your live site.

  4. Redirect

Permanent 301 redirects go live with the new site, page by page.

  5. Check

We watch Search Console after launch and fix anything that slips.

What a website redesign with WE-DEV includes

A redesign is more than a new look. We start from what your current site already does well: the pages people find on Google, the enquiries it brings in and the content you have written over the years. Then we fix what holds it back, usually speed, how it works on a phone, and how easy it is to find a price, book or call.

  • A written review of your current site: speed, phones, Google and content.
  • A fixed price in writing before any work starts, with what is included spelt out.
  • The new site built on a private copy, so your live site keeps working until launch day.
  • Every old address mapped to its new page with a permanent 301 redirect.
  • Search Console checked after launch, and anything that slips fixed.

Refresh, re-theme or rebuild?

If the structure of your site works and only the look and speed are tired, a refresh is usually enough. If the platform is out of date, the pages no longer match what you sell, or you cannot update it yourself, a rebuild saves money over the next few years. Our guide to rebuilding or refreshing a website has a ten-minute test you can do yourself, with typical UK costs.

Moving from Wix, Squarespace or an old WordPress site

Many redesigns are also a move to a new platform. We move your pages, images and blog posts, keep your domain and email working, and redirect every old address. Read how we move a site from Wix or Squarespace to WordPress, and the website migration SEO checklist we follow on every launch.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a website redesign cost in the UK?

A refresh of your homepage, header and footer and a full rebuild on our Elite package both have a starting price on this page, shown with and without VAT. The price for your site depends on its size and what it needs to do; you get it in writing after the website review, before any work starts.

Will a redesign hurt my Google rankings?

Not if it is done properly. We record your pages and rankings first, map every old address to its new page with a permanent 301 redirect, and watch Search Console after launch. Small movements in the first weeks are normal while Google re-reads the site; we cannot promise rankings, but we make sure nothing that already works is thrown away.

How long does a website redesign take?

A refresh of the homepage, header and footer usually takes one to two weeks. A full rebuild takes about three to six weeks from go-ahead to launch, depending on the number of pages and how quickly content is ready.

Do I need a redesign or a full rebuild?

If the structure and platform still work, a refresh is usually enough. If the site is slow because of the platform, cannot be updated, or no longer matches what you sell, a rebuild is better value. The website review tells you which, with a fixed price for each.

Can you keep my domain, email and content?

Yes. Your domain and email stay yours and keep working. We move the content you want to keep, and improve it where it helps people and Google.

Can you redesign a Wix, Squarespace or old WordPress site?

Yes. We redesign sites on most platforms and can move them to WordPress or a custom build, with every old address redirected so you keep what Google already knows about your site.

How much is the website review, and what do I get?

The review is a fixed fee. A developer checks your site's speed, how it works on phones, Google and your content, and sends you a written plan with a fixed price for the work. If you go ahead with us, the fee is taken off your price.

What support do I get after launch?

We check Search Console and fix anything that slips after launch. After that you can look after the site yourself, book developer hours when you need them, or choose a monthly care plan.
