This policy explains how WE-DEV LTD uses cookies and similar technologies on we-dev.uk. It should be read alongside our privacy policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. They let the site remember things, such as the contents of a basket, whether you are logged in or whether you have accepted analytics. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in the same way, and this policy covers them too.

Our approach

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), a website may set cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for without your consent, but most other cookies need your consent first. The Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 relaxes this rule for some analytics cookies. We have chosen to keep asking for your consent before setting any analytics cookies.

When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or reject analytics cookies. Rejecting is as easy as accepting. Until you accept, Google Analytics does not set any cookies on your device.

We do not use advertising or social media tracking cookies, and we do not use the LinkedIn Insight Tag.

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are needed for the website to work, to take payments and to keep the site secure. They are set without consent. You can block them in your browser settings, but parts of the site, such as checkout and booking, may then stop working.

Stripe may set further cookies on its own domains when its payment form loads, for fraud prevention. These are covered by Stripe’s own cookie policy.

We use Google Analytics 4, through Google Site Kit, to understand how many people visit the site, which pages they read and where they come from. This helps us improve the site. Google Analytics is only loaded with cookies after you click “Accept”. We use Google Consent Mode, so if you reject analytics, no Google Analytics cookies are set.

Google may process this data in the United States. Analytics data is retained for 14 months and is not used for advertising. Google Analytics is not loaded for logged-in staff. You can read how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

How to change your choice

You can change your mind at any time:

  • On our site: click “Cookie settings” in the footer of any page to reopen the banner and accept or reject analytics cookies. If you withdraw consent, we stop collecting analytics data from that point.
  • In your browser: all modern browsers let you view, block and delete cookies. Look for “Cookies” or “Site data” in the privacy settings of Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge.
  • Google Analytics opt-out: Google offers a browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout that stops Google Analytics on all websites.

Deleting cookies will also delete your consent choice, so you will see the banner again on your next visit.

Changes to this policy

We review this policy when we add or remove tools on the site. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
